These fantastically practical eco friendly strong double walled cardboard playhouses are now available to buy in the W4AC online Shop.

They come in a wide range of shapes and sizes including forts, castles, fortresses, garrisons and palaces for princesses, fairies, knights and pirates as well as houses, puppet theatres, rockets, teepees, igloos, boats, shops... in standard plain brown, white, pink, blue or silver/grey.

We have had a lot of practical experience in building cardboard sculptures and can adapt them or create and add ANY bespoke forms you may require. We can also build linking sections to make communities of Eskimos, North American Indians or intergalactic space stations and if you want to match a particular tone or hue or would prefer an artist's design pre drawn on the inside or out - we can oblige!

The playhouses offer endless creative opportunities for fantastic creative drawing, colouring, cutting and sticking and imaginative make believe role play.

They are particularly brilliant for grandparents to keep under the bed and bring out for children's visits or as a centre piece for a party or special family celebration.

Each one arrives flat packed with instructions and can be easily assembled by an adult and also repacked in their original flat boxes and stored under the bed for another play day /grandchildren's visit.

All playhouses are made from 80% recycled strong double walled cardboard and conform to the 88/378/EEC safety directive.

They can be painted but if they are allowed to become sodden the cardboard will weaken considerably. They are not designed for outside use particularly in wet or windy weather.

They are not recommended for outdoor use and can quickly lose their strength if allowed to become too sodden with water. However we have successfully used them for messy painting workshops and parties and can be dried and repainted several times.

Children should be supervised and the playhouses checked regularly for any possible damage /safety issues.
