- Suitable for all ages from 16 months to 10 years.....1, 2, 3 hours and full days NB Younger children must be accompanied by an adult.
BOAT BUILDING
- Thursday 16 Feb.+ other days/private groups if demand.
- Suitable for 6+ and younger siblings/children if accompanied by an adult helper].....half and full days only
HALF TERM Art sessions can be messy
Do NOT dress to impress. Old WARM clothes essential and wellingtons strongly advised if the weather allows us to work in the marquee. Otherwise we will be doing some cleaner stuff in side.. We have some coveralls but bring an old adult T shirt to keep off the worst. Paints are nominally washable but absolutely no liability is accepted for for ruined clothing/designer trainers. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!
Mardi Gras Mornings - Drawing, Painting and Making
@ 9.30 - 10.30 . Best for the littluns [ under 3's/in need of morning nap?]
Come have fun splattering, spraying, splashing , sloshing, painting with big brushes, rollers and fly swatters, and printing and collaging with a range of materials. Maybe there will be giant jester/carnival figure or enormous mask to paint on. Also mask making with loads of card/feathers and glitz.
Make or just paint giant cardboard pumpkins, bats and bugs or/or do your own thing on a big 'canvas'.
Join @ 10.45 and stay for one or two hours for any age to 7/8 years
Carry on experimentally painting but maybe on your own 'canvas' or maybe we will get the face paints out. Dream up amazing elegant feathered bejewelled Italian eye wear or go for the ghoulish with Day of the Dead monster masks . we have the card, wire, paint, fluorescent colours, feathers,feathers , beads, glitz, jewels , thread to realise every dream and nightmare.
From 11.45 is Carnival Edible Art time! for 2+++ to 7/8 years.
Model carnival creatures and fare with delicious coloured sugar paste and sweets. YUMMY
Afternoons [ 1.45-4.45 p.m.]/All Day
Mardi Gras Extended activities for older children on Wednesday and/or Friday afternoons [ subject to demand/for private groups] or Children can bring a packed lunch and stay all day on other days [ private groups only] .
Activities offered to be announced but will suit the age range and preferences of the participants .I hope to include making cardboard model ships/space rockets or puppet theatres.
The kids will building a pre cut cardboard model boat and the letting their imaginations take a creative voyage using and learning new drawing/painting and construction skills.
Thursday 16 Feb in the morning 9.45 -12.45 and , subject to demand afternoons [ 1.45- 4.45]/all day and Private groups are possible on Monday or Tuesday 13/14 Feb.. Recommended for unaccomapnied 6+ but parents /accompanied younger children and siblings are welcome too.
